Learn the essential elements of fiction writing. Creating characters, GMC, plotting, point of view, sagging middle and more. Having a good foundation for your writing by understanding the essential elements of characterization and plotting can help you create stories your readers will crave.
In this four-week course, we’ll discuss how to plot, what keeps it moving, and how storytellers pull readers into their fictional world and keep them there. We’ll learn point of view, story structure, pacing, world building, how to connect the beginning, middle and end, and more. The essential elements needed for characterization and plotting
Course level: This course can be taken by writers at all levels.
Tambra knew from the time she was 12 years old she wanted to be a writer and artist. All those summers spent at the public library reading Nancy Drew, historical romance and category romance infused her love of the romance genre.
Through years of study and hard work, Tambra became a multi-published author writing for electronic publishers and small press. While contracted at some of these publishers she was a developmental editor.
Tambra also writes nonfiction. Her work has been published in magazines, local and national, newspaper, and trade publications.
In 1990 she illustrated, wrote and self-published a specialty children’s book on ADHD focusing on behavior modification.
Tambra is a graduate of the Institute for Children’s Literature and has an Associate of Arts in English from San Jacinto College. Tambra is a CTM – Competent Toastmaster from Toastmasters International.
Tambra has been teaching since 1990 giving workshops for writing organizations like Savvy Authors, Romance Writers of America and in the past her local college.
